I’m at home with my beloved 9 year old Great Dane. she recently had her toe amputated and we entered the stage yesterday of needing a cone. Ten days of a cone and a sensitive dog who shakes when I put it on and then lays with sadness.
Like Scooby Doo, this girl is attached to me like velcro and especially in her current state. It’s going to be a long ten days at her side while this heals. But…instead of going down the dark path of despair and how am I/we going to do this thoughts, I decided to seize this time and view it as opportunity.
If I am blessed with time to be with her, what have I wanted to do and not done? YouTube. I have wanted to create a YouTube channel on estrangement/parental alienation for years, but I buried the idea behind focusing on creating a philanthropic tour and retreat business to Cuba.
With that dream having once again been placed on hold, I’ve had to face down the fear and look at what I’ve wanted to do, but have been too afraid to do–a business working with those who are struggling with estrangement. I even started rereading my own memoir which reminds me of how far I have come and how grateful I am that I didn’t give up on life. I’ve never been more content and at peace–NEVER!
So with that let’s see what happens. I have ten days to nurture my best friend Jiji while bringing my hidden dream to life. I want to help you enjoy life again too!
Hugs!
